AI Workers, Compared

Before you pay $3,750 a month for an "AI employee"

I run automation projects for small businesses. Over the past two years I've set up AI sales reps, phone receptionists, support agents, bookkeeping tools and social schedulers, sometimes with great results and sometimes as an expensive lesson. This site is the comparison I wish existed when I started: what each tool actually costs, how long setup really takes, and who it works for.

AI SDR

Impressive demos, brutal contracts. Some of these start at $49/mo self-serve.

AI Receptionist

The cheapest win on this site. A plumber friend pays $79/month and stopped missing jobs.

AI Support Agent

Intercom charges $0.99 per resolved ticket. The math only works past a certain volume.

AI Bookkeeper

Mostly sold to accounting firms, not to you. Here's what that means for pricing.

AI Social Media Manager

Honest take: most of these are schedulers with a chatbot bolted on. Two earn their fee.

About this site

No vendor paid to be listed here and none of them know they're on it. I'm a consultant, not a review farm: every page covers a category where I've either run the tool for a client or watched a client burn money on it. When I say a price, it came off the vendor's own pricing page, and I note the date. When pricing is hidden behind a sales call, I say that instead of guessing. Two things I will never do: rank by affiliate payout, or call something "game-changing."
